Oxford Academic Technology (OXACT) is a small company but is able to draw on expertise from a network of highly skilled associates. By using known and proven specialists as needed we reduce our overheads and are able to deliver very cost-effective results.
OXACT was established in 2003 by Laurence Fouweather. He has many years experience managing ICT in educational institutions including the University of Oxford and the London School of Economics. He has wide ranging managerial and technical knowledge of all aspects of IT and telecommunications including advances in eLearning and interactive multimedia applications.
He is a member of the British Computer Society (BCS), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET formerly IEE), the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) and NAACE. A qualified graduate engineer, in order to further develop his knowledge and understanding of the use of technology in education, he undertook the M.Sc. in Educational Studies (eLearning) programme at the University of Oxford and graduated in 2007. His research involved a comparative study of the use of strategies in implementing an eLearning system (VLE) in two UK universities.
